In order to guarantee its customers the origin of its great wines of
Bordeaux, Chateau Palmer chose to secure its bottles with Bubble Seal™ for Prooftag.
The exceptional character of each of our bottles leads us to strengthen the authentication process of our wines, said Bernard De Laage de Meux, development director at Château Palmer.
From the 2009 vintage, all bottles of Château Palmer and Alter Ego bear a seal affixed by the Authentication property before shipment. This seal has all the information inherent in the bottle, previously stored in a database and accessible to consumers.

Hologram Industries continues to grow | July 2011
In the first six months of the year, sales of the company Hologram Industries amounted to € 20.3 million, up 32% over the first half of fiscal 2010.
This performance resulted from strong organic growth, more than 20% over the period, and the integration of Label Systems Authentication (LSA) since 1 January 2011.
The integration of the LSA in early 2011 has enabled the Group to significantly strengthen its position in the protection of brands, including the volume of business has doubled.
In the first half 2011 activity « Brand Protection » has generated 18% of turnover (3.6 M €).

Canada: Pillitteri Estates Winery takes the sealed bubble as authenticating | June 2011
The Canadian Pillitteri Estates Winery announced at the international exhibition of wines and spirits from Bordeaux (Vinexpo 19-23 June 2011), a partnership with Prooftag (inventor of the Bubble Tag ™), to ensure authentication and traceability of its products.

More than 700 fake credit cards seized | May 2011
On April 27, 2011, the Fraud Squad to Payment Methods (BFMP) proceeded to the arrest of seven people including six from Asia, Paris and the Paris region.?
The case began on November 3, 2010, when a Malaysian national was arrested by the security of a Paris department store, while trying to make purchases of luxury goods using a false card bank. He was in possession of eight fake by BFMP, investigating.
The different searches led to the discovery material to the making of false credit cards, two encode, an embosser-doreuse and five laptops. A secure chip for authenticating consumables | April 2011
Secure Inside the company expected to announce next week the launch of VaultIC100, a new secure chip that protects the high-tech products from counterfeiting and copying through the mutual identification between the product and its consumables (cartridges, drums , etc..).
The device uses mutual authentication VaultIC100 elliptic curve, a very safe and effective method to protect the products which will be equipped.
By using the security module, printer and an ink cartridge, for example, can authenticate each other, which ensures that the ink cartridge has been certified for use in this printer, but also it is the official ink cartridge designed for this printer model.
Phones and laptops can also ensure that only approved batteries and a good model is used, which provides an additional level of security against possible outbreaks of fire or explosions.
According to the Alliance for Gray Market and Counterfeit Abatement (AGMA), an association founded by Cisco, HP, Nortel and 3Com, estimates that nearly 10% of all high-tech products sold globally are copies, including printers, computers and mobile phones and memory chips and other integrated circuits. The AGMA believes that electronics companies lose about $ 100 billion each year because of counterfeiting.
It is noted however that in most sectors, the marketing of compatible consumables is legal and is not counterfeit.

Prooftag raises 8 million | March 2011
To strengthen and accelerate its international development, Prooftag conducted in January 2011 a fundraiser from 8 million. This contribution will help the company to Montauban promote its technology, particularly in emerging markets. Offices are already open in Poland, the Middle East (Dubai), China, Asia, South East, and Africa. Other sales offices could be created this year and 2012 in other countries including the United States.
Prooftag now generates 70% of its turnover from exports.

3M launches a new scanner for the authentication of ID papers | September 2010
The 3M Security System division unveils the AT9000: a fast and compact new-generation document scanner for the verification of ID papers. This device enables commercial businesses to prevent fraud (hotel industry, establishments open to the public, banks, airlines, car rentals companies, etc.). It allows any non-expert person to quickly and easily verify the authenticity of ID (National ID card, Passport) or similar papers (Driving Licence) simply by scanning the document.
